GT4 ITALY LANDS IN VALLELUNGA IN THE PRESTIGIOUS ACI RACING WEEKEND

The GT4 Italy championship is ready to enter the crucial phase of the season with a highly fascinating event. In fact, the Autodromo Vallelunga will be the stage for the fourth round of the Italian series, staged for the first time in the prestigious competitive context signed by ACI Racing Weekend. An event that promises to provide sparks, characterized by the presence of a very important parterre and which will certainly not fail to attract the usual audience on the Capitoline circuit. For the championship organized by FX Racing Weekend and which enjoys the official license from SRO Motorsports Group, this is a further opportunity for important visibility, in the context of a year which has already seen it protagonist alongside the Fanatec GT World Challenge in the Italian stage of Misano.

Prestigious brands will compete along the 4085 meters of the track located a few kilometers from Rome, with crews made up of high-level drivers ready to compete for their respective chances of success. The young Tommaso Lovati (Lema Racing) is leading the provisional ranking after the first three stages, but is being chased by fierce competition from the Swiss expert Nicolas Leutwiler (Team AMAG First): in this case the first will share the cockpit of the own Mercedes AMG GT4 with the 19-year-old rookie Tommaso Fossati, while the second will be ready to attack the summit aboard the Porsche Cayman 718 RS.

Pierluigi Veronesi will not be missing from the list of sure protagonists either, fresh from the splendid double achieved at Mugello. The fast driver from Bologna will in fact be at the wheel of the Autorlando Sport Porsche 997 GT4, sharing duties on this occasion with his compatriot Gian Piero Cristoni. The team directed by Orlando Redolfi will also field a Porsche 714 Cayman entrusted to Dario Cerati, currently in fifth place in the overall championship ranking.

The Slovenian Lema Racing team, in addition to the Mercedes driven by the very young Lovati-Fossati duo, will complete its trio of cars at the start with the sister car driven by a luxury “rookie” of the caliber of Lorenzo Bontempelli and the eclectic Roman driver Lorenzo Semprini, fresh from the success achieved in Magione in ATCC Italy.

The presence of the Audi R8 GT4 will not be missing on the track, with the Tuscan Gabriele Bini (coming from Predator’s competitions) who will make his seasonal debut at the wheel of the Bavarian company’s racing car, while the HRP team will complete its line-up in the Cup class with the debutants Renzo Capocchi and Andrea Zanforlin.

The spectacle will certainly not be lacking, thanks also to a dynamic race format which will see the dispute of a double qualifying session and two races of 25′ each, as part of a weekend which will at the same time see the presence of the Italian GT Endurance Championship, TCR Italy and DSG, Italian F4 Championship and Italian Sports Prototype Championship.

Luca Panizzi (Formula After the seasonal debut in Monza and two stages on top-notch circuits such as Misano and Mugello, the fact of being able to debut as part of the ACI Racing Weekend represents the icing on the cake. We will have several new entries both in terms of drivers and teams, confirming the considerable interest and success that our series is receiving in its first year. The fight for the titles up for grabs will really be something to follow, especially in view of the final rush which will take place in Misano in just under a month. Thanks from now to ACI Sport, SRO Motorsports Group, our partners and all those who believe in this ambitious project!”

The weekend program will begin on Friday 13 October with the two free practice sessions at 9.20am and 1.10pm.
