The hot summer of the FX Racing Weekend championships knows no breaks, ready to rekindle their engines again in the context of an event of great international prestige. In fact, the ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ Autodrome in Imola will host the third seasonal round of Hours. After the respective events held in Vallelunga and Misano, the racing cars of the FX championships will return to compete for a round that will constitute the turning point of the season, as part of a highly fascinating event that promises to attract thousands of enthusiasts to the stands and in the paddock of the track located on the banks of the Santerno.

To ignite the challenge in the Presenting himself at the top of the overall ranking is the Portuguese Tomas Guedes, fresh from the peremptory double success achieved in Vallelunga and ready to consolidate his leadership at the wheel of the Porsche Cayman GT4 718 RS of Autorlando Sport. However, there will be no shortage of opponents ready to give him a hard time: above all the young Finnish Benjamin Sylvestersson, hunting for his first hit of the season aboard the Promodrive BMW M4 GT4, while the duo of Mercedes AMG GT4 fielded by Lema Racing, with the Slovenian Mark Kastelic and the Polish Dawid Zydlewski ready to join the fight at the top. The Slovenian team will also line up at the starting line the Audi R8 LMS GT4 entrusted to the very young Panamanian driver Valentino Mini, making his debut in the category, while the spotlight will also be on the winner of the inaugural test at Mugello Manuel Lasagni (CZ Bassano Racing Team) and on the Swiss Danilo Arfini, ready to do battle at the wheel of the Cayman from Centri Porsche Ticino.

There is also great anticipation for the XGTM challenge, with the leader of the provisional ranking Andrea Frizza (part of the V-Action Racing Team) who will have to deal with his new teammate Eugenio Mannarino, while the Pro.Motorsport team will also line up in this case the fierce Macedonian Sashko Atanasovski.

The Imola weekend program will be concentrated on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July, precisely to give space to the ELMS 4 Hours on Sunday. The action on the track includes three free practice sessions, scheduled for 9.15am, 12.20pm and 3.05pm, before giving way to the qualifying challenge with a double session starting from 4.20pm . The two races will therefore take place on Saturday 6th, which will see XGT4 Italy and Supersport Series GT at the start in a single line-up but with strictly separate classifications: the first heat will start at 9.30 am, while the second at 2.00 pm. Both races will be broadcast live on the FX Racing Weekend social channels (YouTube channel and Facebook page) and on, with commentary by Marco Privitera and Davide Valsecchi. There will also be a series of insights from the paddock of the Emilian racetrack, with interviews with the drivers and all the background information on a highly anticipated event.
