The atmosphere, the images, and the many emotions experienced will long remain etched in the memories of all those who took part in the final FX Racing Weekend of the 2024 season, held over the weekend of November 8-10 at the Misano World Circuit. A record-breaking event, it drew over 200 cars to the starting grid and crowned the champions of the various categories, sparking the enthusiasm of the spectators who enjoyed a weekend of entertainment both on the track and in the paddock of the Misano circuit.
The brand-new ‘Hall of Champions’ welcomed the 2024 overall champions with an evocative mix of special effects at the end of each race, while the Grid Walk welcomed hundreds of fans to the FX Pro Series starting grid, in a unique atmosphere thanks to a dedicated DJ set and live streaming featuring Davide Valsecchi, which covered the entire event both on and off the track, with over twenty-five hours of live coverage over the three days.
The final battle to crown the 2024 champion in the premier GT series saw Tomas Guedes triumph, with a double second-place finish at the wheel of the Porsche Cayman GT4 to secure the title, repeating his previous achievement in the Swiss championship. The Autorlando Sport team driver was edged out in race one by Simone Riccitelli’s Ligier JS2 R, while in the final heat, Slovenian Mark Kastelic in a Mercedes AMG GT4 scored the first win of the season for Lema Racing. A double third-place finish wasn’t enough for Finland’s Benjamin Sylvestersson (Promodrive) to pursue his title ambitions, which instead rewarded Andrea Frizza, overall winner of the X-GTM division in the V-Action Racing Team BMW M2 Cup. The new GTM-B class also saw stage wins for Giuseppe Bodega and Fulvio Ferri in an Audi RS3 LMS, who had already been crowned champions of the ATCC Italy First Division in the previous round.
